Writing has always been my least favorite subject. I was never good at it until UWRT 1101 when I was surprisingly getting A's on my papers. I still don't know what I did to deserve those grades, but it was obviously something good. Anyways I began to like writing a little more over the years and now I like it. It's still not my favorite and i'm still not a perfect writer, but I am better at it than I was before and I like it better than I did before.
Blog Post #2
My first daybook entry is from March 16th, 2015. I picked this entry because this blog shows how my writing has improved since my first blog. I received more positive feedback and I had to change less things than before. I was really impressed with myself that I was able to write that much in one shot and have it be that good. Obviously, it still wasn't perfect on the first try, but I was really happy.
This has shown that I can actually write better than I thought I could. Before just thinking about having to write these blogs made me think that I wasn't going to be able to get a good grade because my writing sucks, but now I knoe I have the capability to write something amazing if I really wanted to.

Conference Reflection
My second daybook entry is from March 21st, 2015. The definition of a good writer is someone who goes above and beyond answering the prompt and being able to provide lots of detail. I chose this daybook entry because it reflects my ability to be a good writer.
For my conference reflection I had to write about four of my daybook entries and explain why I chose each of them. Then I had to talk about how I felt about my research blog and the course. I felt like I was able to answer each of the questions completely and provide detail in each answer.
From this I learned that I can not only write, but write for long periods of time and not start to repeat myself just to make it longer.

Genre love Letter
My third daybook entry is from March 31st, 2015. We had to write a love letter to an inanimate object. As soon as my professor said those words I immediately was like, "Oh great, well this is going to be an embarrassment especially if I have to share mine." Then I actually started to write my letter and I was impressed with the way it was coming out. it actually made sense when it was finished, but thank god I still didn't have to share it.
I picked this piece because it showed my capability of not only just writing, but also writing in specific genre styles. Also, now I can take this piece ad use it as a reference for other writings that I will do.
